The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 D-11 was one of the rarest and most powerful variants of the Fw 190 "Dora," developed in early 1945 as an evolution of the Fw 190 D-9. The goal was to further improve flight performance by installing the more powerful Junkers Jumo 213 F engine, featuring a two-stage supercharger and MW-50 power boost. Externally, the D-11 was distinguished by a larger air intake on the starboard side of the engine, a wide wooden propeller, and the removal of the two 13mm MG 131 machine guns above the engine, allowing for a smoother engine cowling profile. Its armament consisted of two 20mm MG 151/20E cannons in the wing roots and two 30mm MK 108 cannons in the outer wings, giving the aircraft significant firepower, particularly against Allied bombers. With a top speed of up to approximately 730 km/h and excellent climb performance, the Fw 190 D-11 was one of the Luftwaffe's most capable piston-engined fighter aircraft.

However, due to the critical war situation, only about 17 production aircraft and a few prototypes were completed. Some of the aircraft were initially deployed with the *Verbandsführerschule General der Jagdflieger* (Fighter Unit Commanders' School), while others later reached *Jagdverband 44* (JV 44), where they served to protect the airfield for the jet-powered Messerschmitt Me 262s. The aircraft "Red 4," with its distinctive red-and-white striped underside, became particularly well-known. Despite its outstanding performance, the Fw 190 D-11 arrived too late and in insufficient numbers to influence the course of the war. Today, it is considered one of the rarest and most technically interesting variants of the Fw 190 family.
