For example, the German armored trains PZ-10, PZ-21, PZ-27, PZ-64, PZ-69 in different periods of the war had captured armored platforms and control railway platforms, and PZ-28, PZ-30 also had armored locomotives. In particular, during the upgrading and re-equipment of PZ-3 and PZ-30 armored trains in 1943, four two-axle single-turreted armored platforms of the Soviet OB-3 type were added, moreover, as their modernization, additional observation posts were installed on the roofs of cars, while part of the top of the hull was modified and reinforced with additional armor. In addition, transitional vestibules, also protected by armor, were mounted along the edges of the cars for additional communication between the crews. The turrets with armament (76.2 mm F.K. gun +DT-7.62 mm machine gun) were retained, and the hull-mounted side machine guns (two on each side) were either retained (DT-7.62 mm) or replaced by German MG-34 (7.62 mm). In the course of further modernization and bringing them up to their standards, in 1944 the turrets of these captured armored vehicles were replaced by ten-sided turrets of the German type, but with guns of the same caliber. Communication facilities were also replaced and minor changes and innovations were made to the binding of the hull.
According to unspecified data, other German armored trains were also equipped with such modernized captured armored platforms.
