Introduced into combat service in late 1916, the Pup was an excellent air fighter with incredible maneuverability. It enabled the Allies to enjoy a period of hard-fought air supremacy.
Although the single .303-inch Vickers machine gun was too light for modern air combat, nearly 1,800 of these tiny fighters were built.
