The PE-95 was deployed wherever a stationary power supply was unavailable. It provided electrical power for mobile radio and radar systems, field workshops, airfield lighting, mobile field kitchens, and maintenance and medical facilities. The unit was frequently transported on a K-52 single-axle trailer - towed by vehicles such as the GMC CCKW - making it ready for immediate operation at the deployment site. Its robust design and ease of maintenance made the PE-95 an indispensable asset for American logistics and signal units.
After the war, the PE-95 remained in military service for many years and subsequently found use in the civilian sector. Numerous units were sold off from military stocks and utilized on construction sites, in agriculture, or as emergency power sources. Today, well-preserved examples are rare and highly prized by collectors of historical military equipment.
