The Opel Blitz with MG 151/20 triple guns was an improvised German anti-aircraft solution from the final years of the war, 1944/45. A triple mount with three 20 mm MG 151/20 cannons was mounted on the chassis of the well-known Opel Blitz truck. The MG 151/20 was originally designed for Luftwaffe aircraft armament, but towards the end of the war it was increasingly used for ground-based anti-aircraft defense. The combination of three weapons in a so-called "drilling" configuration resulted in a high rate of fire, intended to be particularly effective against low-flying Allied fighter-bombers.

The vehicles were usually field-modified and often belonged to Luftwaffe, Army, or improvised anti-aircraft units. Typically, the cargo bed of the Opel Blitz was open, allowing the crew to operate the weapons from all sides. Some vehicles were fitted with additional protective plates or simple splinter shields. Their mobility allowed them to be quickly deployed to threatened sectors of the front or supply routes.

The MG 151/20 fired 20 mm ammunition at a high rate of fire and was suitable not only for use against aircraft, but also against lightly armored vehicles and infantry targets. Nevertheless, its effectiveness against the heavily armored Allied fighter-bombers was often limited. Many of these improvised anti-aircraft vehicles arose from the increasing shortage of materials and the tense military situation in Germany during the final months of the war. Today, they are among the lesser-known but technically interesting improvisations of German anti-aircraft vehicles from the Second World War.
