Pz.Kpfw. 35R 731(f), 38H 735(f) & 35S 739(f) in France
This set provides markings for three Wehrmacht units that utilized captured French tanks during their operations in France. The Pz.Kpfw. 38H 735(f) tanks of Pz.Abt. 206 were painted in "Dunkelgelb" (Dark Yellow) during the Normandy campaign, accented by large black turret numbers. This set also includes a selection of generic numbers for this unit.
In contrast, the Pz.Kpfw. 35R 731(f) tanks of Pz.Rgt. 100—as seen, for example, in Paris—featured a darker base coat of "Deutsche Grau" (German Grey), supplemented by a second layer in a "Tropical" shade; their turret numbers were rendered in bold black with white outlines.
The Pz.Kpfw. 35(S) 739(f) and 38H 735(f) tanks of Pz.Abt. 205, for their part, were based on a "Deutsche Grau" base coat over which a second layer of "Dunkelgelb" had been applied. Their turret numbers stood out in white with black outlines. This unit was deployed in the Normandy region. Stowage bins and antenna bases for the Pz.Kpfw. 38(H) 735(f) are available from Lithokraft as sets LK350076 and LK350077.
