
In 1939, the H39 appeared as an improved version of the H35.
With improved castings such as the hull and turret, the H39 featured a 120 hp engine and a 37 mm L/33 cannon.
It saw service during the German occupation of Norway in 1940.
After the French surrender, the German armed forces upgraded numerous H39 tanks and used them as part of the armored force.
