The GPZ900R made its debut in 1984 – developed under the concept of a “next-generation super sport.”
With its distinctive design, which combined a large-displacement 908 cc engine in a diamond frame,
the GPZ900R achieved the perfect synthesis of agile handling and exceptional stability.
At the time of its launch, it proudly held the title of the world’s fastest street-legal motorcycle.
The nickname “Ninja” – originally reserved for the North American version – has endured to this day and has become an iconic brand name inextricably linked to Kawasaki.
