U.S. M60 MBTs in the “T-80 Aggressor“ Role for Opposing Forces Training
The 1st Battalion, 4th Infantry Regiment “Warriors“ – the OPposing FORce (OPFOR) – was the last active US Army unit to field the M60 main battle tank, using it from 1990 to 2005 to simulate the Russian T-80 MBT at the Combat Manoeuvre Training Centre located at the Hohenfels Training Area, Germany.
This publication grants, for the very first time comprehensively and with over a hundred action-packed exercise photographs, a close look at the “M60’s last fight” in US service. More than 20 colour plates additionally highlight the unusual camouflage schemes, ranging from “effective” to “flamboyant”, of the “M60A3 TTS T-80”.
