Focke-Wulf Ta 183 / Messerschmitt P.1101
Two designs that changed global military aviation
The *FLUGZEUG Profile 73* issue focuses on two designs that are little known to the general public: the Focke-Wulf Ta 183 and the Messerschmitt P.1101.
Although neither aircraft type progressed much beyond the drawing board or prototype stage by the end of World War II, they significantly influenced the development of the subsequent generation of jet aircraft. Their influence is clearly evident in the F-86 Sabre, the Saab J-29 Tunnan, and the MiG-15.
