Cross Of Iron Eastern Front 1944

During the middle years of World War II, most German Wehrmacht soldiers were issued a field-gray M36 uniform with a green collar, though some also wore the M40 with a field-gray collar.
The uniform was completed with a helmet or cap, jackboots, and suspenders.
Accessories such as pouches, canteens, shovels, etc., were typically carried, while weaponry depended on rank:
Enlisted men carried the Kar98k rifle or the MG34 machine gun, while non-commissioned officers used the MP40 submachine gun or captured weapons.
Officers and machine gunners often carried a pistol for self-defense.
