She served as an air superiority fighter and fighter-bomber. One of the most successful versions was the P-40E.
This was used by US fighter squadrons and, as Kittyhawk, by the Commonwealth Air Forces and was equipped with six 12.7 mm M2 Browning machine guns in the wings.
In addition, thanks to the attachment points under the wings, it is capable of supporting almost 900 kg.
