The "Huey" is undoubtedly one of the most famous—if not *the* most famous—helicopters in history. Dragon has released an outstanding, all-new 1:35 scale plastic model kit of this iconic aircraft. The new kit depicts the UH-1N, the twin-engine version of the Huey. This variant made its maiden flight in April 1969; development of the new helicopter—powered by two Pratt & Whitney T400-CP-400 turboshaft engines—was initiated by the Canadian government. Subsequently, the USMC, U.S. Navy, and USAF also ordered the UH-1N Iroquois.
This kit allows for the easy assembly of a U.S. Marines UH-1N "gunship" configuration. In this setup, the helicopter boasts impressive firepower, featuring 2.75-inch rocket launchers and 7.62mm GAU-17 Miniguns. The Minigun, for instance, is a completely new design that impresses with its remarkable level of detail. This medium-lift military helicopter has been meticulously researched and engineered to create a highly detailed 1:35 scale model. Even the tiny rivets characteristic of the fuselage have been precisely replicated. The clear parts are made of transparent plastic, and high-quality Cartograf decals perfectly finish off the gunship model. Since the UH-1N saw service in numerous conflicts, such as the Gulf War and the Iraq War, modelers have a wide range of possibilities for displaying the model in a variety of scenarios.
