The HMS King George V from Airfix recreates one of the Royal Navy's most important battleships. Following the loss of HMS Hood she became the flagship of the Home Fleet under Admiral Sir John Tovey.
During the Second World War HMS King George V took part in the pursuit and eventual sinking of the German battleship Bismarck. In the Mediterranean she supported the Allied landings in Sicily as part of Operation Husky.
Reintroduced as part of the Airfix Vintage Classics range, this kit offers a detailed model of a Second World War battleship. It is an excellent addition to any collection of historic naval vessels.
