Flugzeug Profile 65 - Junkers Ju 287

In March 1943, driven by rapid advancements in jet engine technology, a medium-range jet bomber designated the Junkers Ju 287 was conceived and fast-tracked into development. By the end of the war, only two prototypes had been completed; both demonstrated excellent flight characteristics.

After the Soviets took over the project, it was continued in the USSR—with the involvement of German technicians—under the designations EF 131 and EF 140.
