Italienische Panzer M13 / 40 & Semoventi 1:56

The production of Italian tanks during World War II was concentrated on the "M" versions. The M-13/40 was the most famous and widely used tank of the Regio Esercito. Equipped with a 47 mm cannon, it was distinguished by the original structure of the tracks and suspensions, as well as the protection provided by the characteristic "bolt". The M-40 self-propelled gun was also developed on its chassis. Armed with a 75 mm howitzer installed in a casemate, it was feared by enemy tanks. The best results were achieved when the M-13/40s were used in combination with self-propelled guns, which could compensate for the limited firepower of the tank. As the war progressed, both the tanks and the self-propelled guns were improved by technical solutions and armament.
