Over 78,000 medium sized 3 ton 4x2 Opel Blitz were produced from 1937 to 1944 and became the most famous German army trucks in WWII.
It featured a durable rear-wheel drive chassis and a large loading area that allowed for excellent loading capacity.
They were used to transport troops and supplies on all fronts until the end of the war.
Some vehicles were fitted with an anti-aircraft gun to create a self-propelled gun.
