Modifications to the combat vehicle:
Production: Carried out by the Becker Construction Command in Maisons-Laffitte, which specialized in converting captured vehicles.
Modifications: Reinforcement with armor plating and installation of a 3.7 cm PaK 36 anti-tank gun.
Purpose: To create a light fire support vehicle for infantry, suitable for engaging lightly armored vehicles.
Combat Use:
Units: Vehicles of this type were used, among others, by the 21st Panzer Division during the fighting in Normandy in 1944.
Effectiveness: Although the PaK 36 was already obsolete compared to modern Allied tanks, it continued to serve for fire support and command.
