Komatsu G40 Bulldozer

The Komatsu G40 was manufactured for the Japanese Navy during World War II and was considered Japan's first domestically manufactured bulldozer.
It was developed to speed up airfield construction, which until then had been carried out by hand.
The design of the G40 was based on the existing agricultural tractor and was equipped with a 50 hp gasoline engine and a hydraulic dozer blade.
Around 150 examples were built from 1943 until the end of the war and sent to engineer units on the northern and southern fronts. It also influenced the design of postwar Japanese construction equipment.
