Its top speed was around 75 km/h (50 mph). The vehicle had a payload capacity of approximately 1.5 tons (50 lbs) and was equipped with solid axles and leaf springs. Many models received simplified cabins made of wood and pressed material during the course of the war to save on steel.
Of the entire Chevrolet G506 family, approximately 150,000 to 168,000 vehicles were built by the end of the war.
