The Chevrolet G7107 was an American military 1.5-ton, four-wheel-drive truck produced in large numbers during World War II. It belonged to General Motors' Chevrolet G506 series and was developed and built starting around 1940. The vehicle was originally based on civilian Chevrolet trucks but was reinforced and technically adapted to meet military requirements. The G7107 primarily served as a transport vehicle for soldiers, ammunition, supplies, and light artillery. Its robust construction and ease of maintenance made it extremely reliable, and it was used by both the US Army and many Allied forces.

The G7107 became particularly well-known through the American Lend-Lease program, which delivered large quantities to the Soviet Union. There, the Red Army valued its excellent off-road capabilities, engine reliability, and winter performance. Some vehicles even served as carriers for Katyusha rocket launchers. In addition to the standard G7107 version, there was also the G7117 variant, which was equipped with a front-mounted winch and better suited for difficult terrain.

Technically, the Chevrolet G7107 featured four-wheel drive, a four-speed manual transmission with a transfer case, and a robust inline six-cylinder gasoline engine with a displacement of approximately 3.9 liters and an output of about 83 to 93 horsepower. Its top speed was around 75 km/h (50 mph). The vehicle had a payload capacity of approximately 1.5 tons (50 lbs) and was equipped with solid axles and leaf springs. Many models received simplified cabins made of wood and pressed material during the course of the war to save on steel.

Of the entire Chevrolet G506 family, approximately 150,000 to 168,000 vehicles were built by the end of the war. After the war, numerous examples remained in military and civilian use worldwide, for example, with fire departments, construction companies, or the armed forces of various countries. Today, the Chevrolet G7107 is one of the best-known American military vehicles of the Second World War and is very popular with collectors, restorers, and military vehicle rallies.
