The Standard N was powered by a four-cylinder gasoline engine producing around 25 hp, with power transmitted to the rear wheels via a manual gearbox. Its straightforward design ensured low maintenance requirements and made the tractor a valued workhorse in both civilian and military sectors. With the outbreak of World War II, numerous vehicles were pressed into service for transport and supply tasks—such as at airfields, in supply depots, and for servicing military installations.
Due to its widespread use and versatility, the Standard N ranks among the most famous tractors of its era.
The industrial version is of particular interest to modelers, as it can be authentically incorporated into both civilian scenes and military dioramas set in the late 1930s and early 1940s, offering numerous possibilities for realistic depictions of logistics operations and industrial yards.
