Sd.Kfz. 234 / 1 (2cm)

The Sd.Kfz. 234 series of heavy armored reconnaissance vehicles were built by German industry during the final stages of World War II.
They were characterized by a high level of build quality, combining mobility, operational flexibility, and offensive capability.
The project represented an excellent combination of speed on all terrain,
protection, and firepower, and was able to synthesize the operational experience the Wehrmacht had gained during the early years of World War II.
They could reach a maximum speed of 85 km/h on the road.
The Sd.Kfz. 234/1 frequently served as a command vehicle.
It was also used for reconnaissance missions and was equipped with a 2 cm KwK 30 cannon in an open turret, which could support infantry fire against lightly armored targets.
