During World War II, Germany was forced to desperately cobble together as many armored vehicles as possible to get them onto the battlefield.
One of these vehicles was the Panzerjäger IB with StuK 40 L/48, a tank destroyer based on the chassis of the older light tank Panzer I Ausf. B and equipped with a 7.5 cm StuK-40 gun from a StuG.
This vehicle is considered a one-off, produced towards the end of the war, and its deployment is documented by photographs taken near Berlin.
