Israeli Tiran tanks are basically T-54, T-55, T-62 tanks captured in the Six Day War, partly captured in the Yom Kippur War, which were taken into service by the Israeli army. Some remained unchanged, others were given different armament, equipment and engines. They were used until the early 1980s and were gradually decommissioned or converted to Achzarit armored personnel carriers.
