Mercedes Benz Wrecker Truck (1:24)

Based on the reliable and robust Mercedes-Benz MB 2238 6x4 heavy-duty road truck, numerous configurations and special versions were developed.

By utilizing the engine's power in conjunction with the solid structural reliability of the chassis and suspension, even over long distances, many vehicles were built for recovering stranded or damaged heavy-duty vehicles.

Features included a rear-mounted crane capable of lifting the vehicles being recovered, as well as numerous additional storage compartments for equipment and tools useful for repair or towing operations. The MB 2238's efficient transmission and correct weight distribution ensured a high level of safety, even when towing the heaviest vehicles under full load.
