VOLVO F16 Globetrotter Canvas Truck with elevator

Introduced to the market in 1988, the Volvo F16 achieved considerable commercial success largely due to its innovative "powertrain" line which was able to achieve a high level of driving performance, low fuel consumption and low running and maintenance costs.
The exceptional features of its 6-cylinder engine were complemented by the innovative "Globetrotter" cab which provided exceptional on board comfort.
The sturdy frame served as a developmental platform for the creation of numerous specially outfitted versions to meet a wide range of differing customer requirements.
One configuration that was particularly appreciated and used by long and medium-range logistics operators was the canvass rear deck.
This feature was characterised by good size/space ratios and further enhanced by the rear hydraulic platform which facilitated easy loading and unloading of goods.
