The LC2 was built by Italian manufacturer Lancia to compete in the World Sports Prototype Championship in the early 1980s. The Lancia LC2 features a clean and elegant design that optimizes aerodynamic performance.
It had a Ferrari V8 engine developed by Abarth with two turbochargers and a displacement of 2599 cm3 (later increased to 3014 cm3).
The car debuted in competitions in 1983, where it was able to compete in terms of speed and performance with the Porsche vehicles, which were the reference point in racing at the time.
However, the lower reliability affected the results.
Many Italian drivers raced the Lancia LC2 before becoming famous in Formula 1 racing, including Patrese, Alboreto and Nannini.
