AH35A033 - Heavy tank destroyer Elefant Sd. Kfz.184 | AH35B003 - Frieskran 16t Strabokran |
The Elefant heavy tank destroyer was armed with a powerful 8.8cm L/71 gun that could take out T-34 tanks at a distance of 2000 m.
The vehicle was protected by armor up to 200mm thick and equipped with advanced features such as a hybrid drive. It had its roots in the Porsche-designed Ferdinand, which first saw combat during the Battle of Kursk in 1943. Lessons learned from that battle led to modifications, including the addition of a commander's cupola, a machine gun for infantry defense, and better tracks. The improved vehicles were redesignated Elefant in February 1944. Elephant tanks were deployed in Italy and on the Eastern Front, where they fought against Allied forces until the final battles of the war. Plastic model kit

The mobile gantry crane was "the" lifting device for repairing the new heavy tanks Tiger, Panther and Panzerjäger Elefant near the front.
From 1944 onwards, the crane was put to another unusual use: It was used by the Division z.V. to load and unload delivered A4 (V2) rockets onto the "Vidalwagen" and the "Meiller" launch vehicle. Plastic model kit Scale 1:35 unbuilt / unpainted Paint and glue not included |
