When HMS Hood was launched in 1918, she was the largest warship in the world.
She was the pride of the Royal Navy when she sailed to intercept the Bismarck in May 1941.
After contact with the German battleship, she opened fire along with HMS Prince of Wales.
The Bismarck returned fire, fatally striking Hood with her fifth salvo, and sank her within two minutes. Of her 1,500 crew, only three survived.
