In the mid-thirties, the Mercedes-Benz company developed the three-axle (6x4) LG 3000 off-road truck.
It was the further development of the Mercedes G 3 model from 1928.
Instead of its competitors with petrol engines, the LG 3000 model was equipped with a diesel engine.
The truck was mainly supplied to the Luftwaffe and the engineer troops.
Its career began in the Spanish Civil War.
