Book: Die V2 (The V2)
In 1942, the world's first functional, large-scale liquid-fueled rocket took flight. It was revolutionary in every technical respect. Its construction by the team led by Dr. Wernher von Braun laid the foundation for all subsequent rocket development. Ultimately, this paved the way for the successful American moon landing in 1969.
Featuring rare images and outstanding graphics, this documentary work chronicles—with unprecedented depth—the development and the devastating wartime deployment of the V2 (Vergeltungswaffe 2 / "Retaliation Weapon 2"), the world's first large-scale rocket.
