The Northrop Grumman X-47B first flew in 2011 and completed several test flights over the following years, completing in 2015.
The X-47B was tested during testing cycles aboard the US aircraft carrier George H.W. Bush (CVN-77) and performed takeoff, landing and air refueling duties.
To optimize onboard capability, the X-47B is equipped with folding wings to minimize space on the crowded flight decks of aircraft carriers.
It is equipped with a Pratt & Whitney turbofan engine that guarantees subsonic performance and can carry an attack load of over 2000 kg of weapons load in its two holds.
