The Bf 109 G represents the logical evolution of the earlier F version of the famous German fighter aircraft that dominated the skies at the start of WWII.
The aircraft was fitted with a more powerful engine to increase speed and altitude.
Some aircraft were also fitted with increased firepower to combat large Allied bombers.
By the end of 1943, the BF-109 G was the backbone of the Luftwaffe and was used in all theaters of operations, successfully competing with the Allied air force until the end of the conflict.
