The Ju 87 "Stuka" dive-bomber is arguably one of the most famous bombers of World War II. From the start of the Blitzkrieg, it formed the backbone of air support for ground forces.
The Ju 87G is the anti-tank variant of the Stuka family. It was armed with two 37mm cannons, which proved highly effective in combat against Soviet tanks. The first Ju 87G aircraft were produced in February 1943 by modifying Ju 87D-3 airframes and were designated Ju 87G-1.
