The EMB-314 Super Tucano, also known as the ALX or A-29, is a turboprop aircraft designed for light attack, counter-insurgency, close air support, and reconnaissance missions in low-threat environments, as well as for pilot training.
Designed for operation in high temperatures and humidity in extremely rugged terrain, the Super Tucano features high maneuverability, a low heat signature, third-generation avionics, and a precision-guided munitions weapon system.
It is currently in service with the air forces of Brazil, the Dominican Republic, Colombia, Ecuador, Chile, and Burkina Faso, and has been ordered by Indonesia, Angola, and the United States.
