BAE Systems Hawk T MK.127

The BAE Systems Hawk is a British single-engine jet aircraft designed for advanced pilot training.
It made its maiden flight in 1974 under the designation Hawker Siddeley Hawk. The Hawk is used by the Royal Air Force and other air forces as either a trainer or a cost-effective combat aircraft. The model remains in production; to date, more than 900 aircraft have been sold to 18 customers worldwide.
Hawk 127: In June 1997, the Royal Australian Air Force ordered 33 Hawk 127 aircraft (designated as "Lead-in Fighters" or LIF); 12 of these were manufactured in the United Kingdom and 21 in Australia. This variant is also powered by an Adour 871 engine. The Hawk 127 is operated by RAAF No. 76 and No. 79 Squadrons, stationed at RAAF Base Williamtown and RAAF Base Pearce, respectively.
