The Aero L-59 Super Albatros is a Czech military jet trainer developed from the company's L-39 Albatros.
Compared to its predecessor, it featured a reinforced fuselage, a longer nose, a significantly modernized cockpit, advanced avionics (including a head-up display), and a more powerful engine.
Upon its maiden flight on September 30, 1986, it was designated L-39MS.
