This twin-engine turboprop aircraft was designed and developed for the United States Navy.
It entered service in October 1960.
The Hawkeye 2000 was an upgrade that was equipped with the APS-145 radar, but included an improved mission computer and Combat Information Center and featured the US Navy's new CEC data link system.
