The Aerospatiale MH-65 Dolphin is a twin-engine helicopter of the United States Coast Guard (USCG) for medical search and rescue (SAR) and armed air support missions.
The SA366 G1 Dauphin version was selected by the US Coast Guard in 1979 as its new short-range rescue helicopter, replacing the Sikorsky HH-52A Sea Guard.
A total of 99 helicopters, optimized for USCG search and rescue missions, were procured under the designation HH-65A Dolphin.
