It is considered one of the most asymmetrical aircraft ever to fly.
The starboard gondola, glazed with Plexiglas, closely resembled that of the Fw 189 and housed the pilot, observer, and tail gunner.
The tail assembly of the prototype BV 141 V10 was asymmetrical. However, the aircraft proved to be very stable and maneuverable.
Dr. Vogt had calculated that the increased weight on one side could be compensated for by the torque of the propeller. Although the BV 141 performed well, it never entered series production.
One reason for this was the higher demand for its preferred engine for the Fock-Wulf Fw 190 fighter.
