Douglas A-1J Skyraider U.S. Air Force

Originally designed as a carrier-based attack aircraft, the Skyraider eventually had a remarkable career that spanned over thirty years.
The A-1J variant, introduced in 1956, entered service with the US Air Force, which used it as an escort aircraft for search and rescue helicopters as well as for the normal ground combat role.
