The twin-engine Douglas DC-3 was undoubtedly one of the most famous transport aircraft in aviation history due to its reliability, flexibility, and durability.
During World War II, a military version was developed: the Douglas C-47 Skytrain.
Produced in large numbers by American factories, it was widely used by the Allies on all fronts.
The C-41 was the first DC-3 ordered by the USAAC. It was powered by two 1,200 hp (890 kW) Pratt & Whitney R-1830-21 engines.
The C-48C was a 21-seat DC-3A.
