The de Havilland DH.103 Hornet was a piston-engine fighter aircraft that further developed the wooden construction of the classic de Havilland Mosquito.
The Hornet entered service at the end of World War II and served as equipment for the postwar day fighter units of RAF Fighter Command in Great Britain.
It was later used successfully as a fighter in Malaya.
The Sea Hornet was a carrier-based version.
