The Nanchang CJ-6 is a license-built version of the Russian Yakolev Yak-18A, built in China.
This magnificent fighter aircraft was used by many former Soviet and Eastern Bloc countries to train their military pilots and is currently used by the Chinese Air Force as its primary military trainer.
The Chinese also built a limited number of CJ-6s as combat aircraft.
To date, more than 6,600 have been produced, and the CJ-6 will remain in service as a military trainer well into the 21st century.
