The Ju 87 Stuka dive-bomber is arguably one of the most famous bombers of World War II.
Since the beginning of the Blitzkrieg, it was the Luftwaffe's most important ground support weapon.
The Ju 87D was the most important series, and the Ju 87D-5 is the last dive-bomber version of the Stuka.
Additional armor was added under the fuselage, and the wing guns were replaced by two 20 mm MG 151 cannons. The Ju 87D-5 completed its first combat mission in July 1943 during the Battle of Kursk.
