The Curtiss P-40 Warhawk/Kittyhawk fighter aircraft were a vital part of the USAAF and other Allied air forces throughout the war.
Available in many different subtypes, the P-40s fought on every battlefield of World War II.
The P-40F and L airframes differ from other P-40 versions in their engine, as they were the only ones equipped with the British RR Merlin.
They were used in Africa, Italy, and the Pacific.
