History of the TS-11 Iskra until D/DF
The TS-11 Iskra was designed by Tadeusz Sołtyk and manufactured at the WSK factory "PZL Mielec" in 1964-87.
It was intended to provide the Polish Air Force with a low-cost and safe training platform for jetilots.
In the 1970s, the TS-11 Iskra to D as a training version for fighter aircraft and the TS-11 Iskra to DF as a training version for reconnaissance aircraft entered production.
