Under the leadership of Ing. Novotný and with the assistance of acrobats Rtm. Novák and Štkpt. Ambruž, the new B-222 aerobatic aircraft was built within six weeks.
In Paris, Novák took fourth place and Ambruž eighth.
The aircraft was further modified, the rudder was enlarged, and the upper wings were fitted with winglets.
This version was already designated the Ba 122.
For the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin, the Ba.122 was equipped with a more powerful nine-cylinder Avia Rk-17 (Walter Pollux) engine.
Here, Široký took second place, Novák third, and Ambruž eighth.
