The Alpha Jet is a light jet-powered attack aircraft and modern jet trainer jointly produced by Dassault Aviation of France and Dornier Flugzeugwerke of Germany.
It was specifically designed for training and light attack missions and performs these tasks better than the first generation of jet trainers.
The German Army decided to retire its own Alpha Jets in the 1990s and resold many of these aircraft to military and civilian operators.
