The Bücker Bü 131 Jungmann was a German two-seater biplane training aircraft that was used during the Second World War.
The aircraft was designed by Swedish-born engineer Anders J. Anderson, who was in charge of all design work at Bücker until 1939.
The first flight of the prototype Bü 131 (D-3150) took place on 27 May 1934 with Joachim von Köppen as pilot.
The aircraft was powered by a Hirth HM 60 R in-line four-cylinder engine with an output of 59 kW.
Series production of the Bü 131 A version began in 1934, with the German Air Sports Association being the main customer. In 1936, the Bü 131 B series was launched on the market, which differed in the 77 kW Hirth HM 504 A-2 engine installed.
